A significant group of runners from the NSSTC and UAH participated in the recent Galaxy of Lights 5K run, including several who did very well. Kelcy Brunner-Miller from ATS won her age group, was fourth among all women and finished 21st overall. Jeffrey Burchfield from the ESSC won his age division and finished 12th overall. ESSC director John Christy and Geoffrey Heidelberger from atmospheric science each finished second in their age groups. Among the runners were, back row, Burchfield, Brunner-Miller, Sarah Stough-Plapp from ATS, Rebecca Kollmeyer from Earth system science and ATS student Danielle Koslowski; and front row, Heidelberger, Elise Schultz from ESSC, Traci Fehnel from ATS, biology student Adam Miller, and Heather Wood from ATS.
