Symposium will discuss state’s water use policy
A limited number of seats are available for an Alabama water policy symposium scheduled for Friday, June 28, at The University of Alabama in Huntsville’s Shelby Center for Science and Technology.
The symposium will address the state’s effort to develop a statewide water usage policy and will include discussion about current farm water use and water management implications from developing widespread farm irrigation in Alabama. There will also be opportunities for public input into the state’s water policy.
Hosted by UAH’s Earth System Science Center, ALFA and the Alabama Rivers Alliance, the symposium is open to the public but a limited number of seats are available and advance registration is required. To register, visit www.AlabamaRivers.org.
